Studio Star
Studio Star is the work of JungHwa Kim, a South Korean–born, Canterbury-based ceramicist and designer. After studying fashion design at ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design in the Netherlands, she moved to rural New Zealand in 2012 — a shift that now influences the natural textures and quiet simplicity of her work. Each piece is handmade using ethically sourced materials, with a focus on sustainability, beauty and everyday usability.
